THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 13 more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Kerala on Monday, Cheif Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said. Among these, 9 people are from Kasargod, 2 people are from Malappuram, while one case each was detected from Kollam and Pathanamthitta districts. At present, there are 266 active cases in the state.
Out of the 9 cases in Kasargod, 6 persons have recently returned from abroad, while three others contracted the disease through close interaction with infected people. The persons who tested positive in Kollam and Pathanamthitta had returned after attending the Tablighi Jamaat meeting in New Delhi, he added. He also said that a total of 18 Malayalis have died across the globe due to the coronavirus.
