NEW DELHI: Seven states have come to the fore seeking extension of lockdown in the country. Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Telangana, Chattisgarh and Jharkhand are the states who have sought extension of the lockdown. They sought extension as more positives cases are being reported and a concern on community transmission.
If the lockdown is relaxed in one-go, it will affect the preventive measures. It is in this context, the states want restrictions even after April 14, the last day of the lockdown. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister in a letter to the Prime Minister demanded that interstate travel be banned.
