KOCHI: A man who died of cardiac arrest in Ernakulam while quarantined has not contracted COVID-19. He was placed under isolation at the Kalamassery Medical College. The 65-year-old’s samples tested negative.

Muraleedharan hailing from Irumpanam suffered cardiac arrest yesterday. His results were not obtained yesterday and so the body was not handed over to his relatives. The body was kept at the mortuary of the hospital. As he came from the Gulf, he was in home quarantine for 28 days. When he developed some health problems, he was shifted to the isolation ward.
