THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: While the state has been experiencing an increase in temperature over the last few weeks, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has hinted that there will be a drop in temperature in the next five days due to heavy summer rain. According to officials, Kerala and Lakshadweep will experience heavy rain and thunderstorm in the next five days.

While all 14 districts are likely to receive rain on Wednesday, all other districts except Thrissur, Palakkad, Kannur and Kasargod will receive rain on Thursday, the officials stated. Meanwhile, fishermen have been asked to remain on high alert due to the extreme weather conditions in the sea.
