Veteran Malayalam filmmaker Priyadarshan has taken to the social media to heap praise on Kerala’s Health Minister K K Shailaja teacher for successfully leading the fight against Corona. He called her the state’s Florence Nightingale and an inspiration to many. Sharing a photo of the Minister on his social media pages, Priyadarshan writes:

“The Florence Nightingale of Kerala ! – Smt. K K Shailaja Teacher, An inspiration to many.

Your attempt to save our citizens are highly appreciable”.

Meanwhile, Priyadarshan’s dream project ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’, film starring Mohanlal and a team of prominent was to be released on March 26 but it had to be postponed indefinitely in the current circumstances.

Kerala is now in the limelight for the way it is handling Covid cases. The State government led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the State Health Minister K K Shailaja are doing a commendable job in containing the disease.

Though Kerala was one of the states in the country with the highest number of infected patients, the state has been able to bend the Coronavirus curve astoundingly.
