THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Seven new coronavirus positive cases have been confirmed in the state on Friday. Of the seven cases, there are from Kasaragod, two each from Malappuram and Kannur. The cases in Malappuram were participants at Tablighi meet in Nizamuddin. Five contracted the disease through contact.

State health minister KK Shailaja said 27 persons have recovered from the disease on Friday.15 persons were discharged from Kasaragod hospitals today-the district with the most reported coronavirus positive cases. In total, 22 persons recovered from the disease in the district.

A total of 364 coronavirus positive cases were confirmed in the state so far. Among this, 124 have been cured of the disease. At present 238 persons are admitted at various hospitals. 1,29,751 persons are under observation in several districts in the state. Of these 1,29,021 are at homes and 730 at hospitals. 126 persons were admitted to hospitals on Friday. Samples of 13,339 symptomatic cases were sent for testing. Test results of 12,335 persons returned negative for COVID-19.
