KASARGOD: The mother and wife of a youth who took part in Nizamuddin Markaz event have been affected by Covid.
Fifty persons including close friends of Kasargod Povval Masthikund native youth are under observation.

The youth had reached Kasargod on March 14 with two Uppala natives after attending the event in New Delhi. The youth didn’t have disease symptoms initially.

Later, based on the instructions of health department officials, the fluid sample was given for testing on March 2. On March 4, the confirmation came he is a Covid patient.

On the other hand, the test result of the friends of the Uppala youth turned negative. In between, the youth had attended a marriage function and a mosque event.

After coming to know about this, the health department asked about 50 persons who had come into contact with him to go under quarantine.

Meanwhile, the youth’s mother and wife have been admitted to Covid wing of Kasargod Medical College as Covid was confirmed in them.
