RIYADH: In an attempt to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, authorities in Saudi Arabia are considering to move those expats living in labour camps to various schools within the country. According to reports, a large number of labourers in the Eastern Province will be soon moved to relief camps set up in around 15 schools.
Eastern Province Corporation has already asked various companies to move their labourers to the schools. Several rooms and toilets have been set up for the labourers. The authorities also informed that all the relief camps have been disinfected and are ready to house the labourers.
The relief camps have been set up as per the guidelines issued by the Health Ministry in order to avoid overcrowding in the labour camps.
