THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala government has prepared guidelines for antibody test to study the transmission of Covid. The health department presume that it would be able to begin the test this week itself.
In the guidelines, it is also said the test could be utilised for the safety of health workers. The study will be conducted in coordination with Achutha Menon Centre.
Blood samples will be collected and antibody test conducted to observe whether there is communal transmission. Only those who have received training will be granted permission to use the test kit.
The health workers will have to strictly follow protocol when blood samples are collected and destroyed after the test.
