KOCHI: A vehicle, which had lost control, drove into a queue of people, who were waiting in front of a Community kitchen to receive food. Four people including the ones inside the vehicle got injured. The condition of two among them are serious. The driver sustained only mild injuries.
They have been admitted to hospital. The accident happened at the Community kitchen near Ernakulam North Town hall on Monday noon. The vehicle loaded with drinking water was passing through that area.
The people standing in the queue were regulars to the community kitchen. Inside the truck, there were three persons including the driver. Two of them were injured.
The vehicle after running into the queue and knocking down people rammed a tree and came to a grinding halt.
The injured were shifted to hospital by locals and police. The details of injured persons are not yet available. The onlookers said the injured were migrant labourers living beneath North bridge.
