GANDHINAGAR: A FIR has been registered against Malayali IAS officer Kannan Gopinathan. The FIR was registered for misinterpreting government order. The FIR was registered at the Rajkot Bhakti Nagar Police Station in Gujarat.

He resigned saying he cannot function independently under the central government. However in the wake of COVID-19, the government asked him to join duty. He said the government asked him to join duty is not with good intent.
