THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government publicised the controversial Sprinklr deal. The government released the details of the agreement signed for the data collection. It was exposed following opposition’s criticism. The deal was signed on April 2. The tenure is till September 24. The government also released Sprinklr Company’s letter sent to the IT secretary. The letters were sent on April 11 and 12.

The company's explanation is that a citizen has the final right to information. The information will not be misused, the company has confirmed it, the government said. The Sprinklr Company also explained that the government has the absolute right to information. The company had mentioned in the letter that the information would be removed if requested by the government or an individual. Records say Sprinklr has no permission to keep copies of the information.

The Sprinklr issue stoked a controversy soon after opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala convened a press meet pointing the discrepancies in the agreement on April 10. The chief minister had the other day avoided queries related to Sprinklr while addressing the media the other day.
