THODUPUZHA: Dengue fever spreads in Idukki amidst the COVID-19 fear. Dengue fever has been confirmed on ten people in Thodupuzha. As health workers are busy with COVID activities, the DMO has asked everyone at home to cooperate to combat dengue fever. The fever was confirmed in Thodupuzha municipality, Alakode and Kodikkulam panchayat. The ten are undergoing treatment in various hospitals in Thodupuzha. The health workers are unable to intervene effectively in other things as they are busy with the work on COVID-19 preventive measures. If anyone gets a fever, avoid self-medication and should contact the health department, the district medical officer said.
