NEW YORK: A man died on the previous day of the burial of his younger brother. Joseph K Joseph (78) who had been living in New York for years died on the previous day of his brother Eapen K Joseph’s (74) burial. They hail from Nedumpuram in Thiruvalla. Eapen died of COVID-19. However, Joseph was under treatment but was not confirmed of the virus.
Eapen who died on April 6 was to be buried at St Vincent D Paul Catholic Church at Elmond in New York yesterday. It was then Joseph died. A prayer service for the two will be held in the same church today. Eapen leaves behind his wife Alice Eapen and children Sarun Eapen and Karun Eapen.
Philiphose K Joseph (Shaji), who produced Mohanlal’s Big Brother, is the younger brother of the two. Joseph died on Shaji’s birthday. Joseph was the eldest of nine children of Ouseph Joseph and Rahelamma. Eapen was the third.
Joseph leaves behind his wife Eliyamma hailing from Thiruvalla. Stanley, Steve and Stancy are their children. All these family members have been living in the US for many years.
Shaji is a top official in the New York office of the US Federal Reserve Bank. It was Shaji who produced the documentary on Oommen Chandy directed by Siddique.
