KOZHIKODE: 10 members of a family have tested positive for novel coronavirus in Kannur. The family, hailing from Cheruvanchery, consists of an 81-year-old man, sources said.
Meanwhile, Kozhikode also reported a similar case where five members of a family have tested positive for the virus. The family, hailing from Edachery near Vadakara, comprises two youngsters who had recently returned from abroad, their father, mother and niece. According to reports, the family members might have contracted the disease through contact with the Mahe native who had died recently due to coronavirus infection.
It was the father of the youngsters who had first tested positive for the virus. Following this, the district administration intervened and all the family members were kept under observation in the hospital.
