KOLLAM: A Malayali expat committed suicide in Dubai by jumping from the top of a building after confirmed of COVID-19. He was a native of Kollam and has been identified as Ashokan, son of Purushothaman of Kalamadanayath House at Prakkulam in Kollam. His relatives obtained the information about his death Friday afternoon. It is learned that Ashokan was not allowed to enter the room after he was confirmed of the virus. This may have been the reason for him to take the drastic step. His relatives are looking for more information. The body cannot be brought to the state. His wife and children are in Kollam.
