MALAPPURAM: A Malappuram native, who had been under treatment for Covid, died on Saturday.

The deceased was Malappuram Keezhattoor native Veerankutty (85). However, his last test result was negative. One more test result is pending.

Veerankuty had been under observation in Manjeri Medical College.

The doctors clarified that he had other underlying diseases. Three days ago, he suffered a heart-attack.

Meanwhile, it not yet known where he had contracted the disease from. Though he was suspected to have caught the disease from his son who had returned from Umrah, his son had turned negative in the tests.
