THIRUVANNATHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s Vijayan routine 6 pm press conference, started in the wake of Covid pandemic, will resume on Monday. This was informed by the chief minister’s office (CMO) on Saturday.
However there is a small change - henceforth, the press conference will be held only on alternate days.
The chief minister’s office came out with the explanation only because his statement during the last press conference was misinterpreted and censured by the Opposition.
The chief minister had said on Thursday that there won’t be daily press conference from the next day. The Opposition pounced on the opportunity to say that the chief minister had stopped the press meet, fearing for questions related to Sprinklr deal and MLA K M Shaji.
The chief minister’s office further explained that the daily review meeting was stopped the other day as the number of daily Covid cases had decreased.
