THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Latest report suggests that the state government will soon correct the set of guidelines issued regarding the relaxations granted during the nationwide lockdown. According to sources, neither private nor KSRTC buses will operate till the lockdown is completely lifted. As per the original guidelines, the government had permitted buses of both sectors to resume service in all districts except in those that come under the red zone.

Earlier, Transport Minister AK Saseendran had requested the Chief Minister to correct the guidelines as he felt that buses cannot be operated under the restrictions. He further added that buses can start operating once public life returns to normal. Various private bus owners had also stated that bus service cannot be resumed under the lockdown restrictions.
