MATTANNUR: The excise team seized a large quantity of drugs being smuggled in an auto. Nearly 5000 packets of hans and cool lips from Kolari were seized. The drugs were seized by a team led by preventive officer K Ananda Krishnan of Iritty excise circle office. The driver of the auto identified as T Riyaz, native of Kumbam Moola fled from the place. The excise team had tightened checking during the lockdown time. Preventive officer P V Vatsan, civil excise officers V K Anil Kumar, Benher Kottathuvalappil and senior excise driver K Bineesh were also there in the team.
