THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday said that six more persons have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Kerala. All the six persons are from Kannur district.
While 5 out of the 6 persons had recently returned from abroad, one person contracted the disease through contact, the chief minister said. He further added that 21 infected persons tested negative for the virus on Monday.
At present, 114 persons are currently undergoing treatment for COVID 19 at various hospitals across the state. While 45,925 persons are kept under home isolation, 398 persons are kept under observation in various hospitals. Out of the 19,756 samples sent for tests, 19,074 have returned negative, the CM added.
