THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There are unconfirmed reports that the SSLC exams for the current academic year may be held in the third week of May.

The Education department is examining the possibility for this since Covid 19 curve in the state has witnesses a bent. However a final decision will be taken only after assessing the situation in the Gulf counties and Lakshadweep, as well; in the Gulf and Lakshadweep, there are many schools where Kerala syllabus is being taught

The government and education department are hoping to complete the SSLC-Plus Two exams and provide opportunities for higher studies of students.

The current plan is to hold SSLC exams in the morning and Plus Two exams in the noon. Through this, the authorities will also be able to maintain social distancing strictly.

Meanwhile, the government is also thinking about extending the date of the Plus One examinations.
