THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said restrictions will continue during Ramadan fasting as more Covid cases were confirmed on Wednesday.
“ Make that Iftars and congregations are avoided and worshiping centres are kept closed,” he made an appeal.
The chief minister said that Islam religions leaders had assured him that mosques would be closed during the lockdown period. The chief minister said this in the routine press conference held after Covid review meeting.
The chief minister added that, in the wake of increase in Covid patients, steps have been taken to ensure that the lockdown is strictly implemented.
