ALAPPUZHA: A youth congress mandalam secretary was hacked while he was travelling in a bike. He has been identified as Suhail (23) of Ilippakkulam in the district. He was hacked on his neck. A two-member team in a bike hacked him last night at 10 pm at Mangaram Junction. The incident happened when Suhail was returning home along with mandalam president Iqbal.

Seriously injured Suhail has been admitted at Vandanam Medical College. He was shifted to Vandalam Medical College from Kayamkulam Taluk Hospital. DYFI activists are behind the attack, alleged Iqbal.
