Actor Vijay has donated Rs 1.30 crore to PM-CARES and Chief Minister's Relief Funds of different states. He has donated Rs 50 lakh to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Relief Fund and Rs 25 lakh to PM-CARES Fund. He has also contributed Rs 10 lakh to Kerala Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

The actor has also donated Rs 5 lakh each to Karanataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Pondicherry Chief Minister's Relief Funds.

Vijay has also given Rs 25 lakh to FEFSI (Film Employees Federation of South India) to improve the livelihood of daily wagers. He is also trying to provide direct help to the needy through his fan clubs across Tamil Nadu.

The actor's upcoming release 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is expected to be released once the restrictions are lifted.

Many other actors came forward with generous contributions to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. South Indian star Allu Arjun had recently contributed Rs 25 lakhs to Kerala CMDRF in addition to the donations he made to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
