THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPI expressed severe displeasure in the Sprinklr deal. CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran said there is ambiguity in the agreement. Kanam reached AKG centre last evening and conveyed party’s discontent to CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.
Kanam raised the crucial question as to why the cabinet did not discuss the details of the contract. He was also dissatisfied for making the legal proceedings in US. When the CPI voices objections pointing the procedural lapses, the obligation to explain will be a headache for the CPM and the government in the coming days. The opposition will make use of the dissent voiced by allied parties of the LDF when they move forward after entrusting an inquiry committee to defend the allegations of the opposition in particular.
IT secretary M Sivashankar as per the instruction of the chief minister visited the CPI headquarters to cool the CPI, who expressed severe dissatisfaction. They had not responded publicly. He reached M N Memorial yesterday morning. Though the IT secretary explained all about the contract circumstances, the displeasure of the CPI in this regard continues. Kanam did not express his dissatisfaction on IT secretary’s stand.
