THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has submitted an affidavit in the high court over Sprinklr deal. “Though Sprinklr is collecting two highly sensitive data, there won’t be leakage of this information. The company was selected following rules and regulations. Though there are a number of IT companies, there is no company in India that can handle mass data. It was due this Sprinklr was selection,” the government has explained in the affidavit.
The high court’s division bench including Justice Devan Ramachandran had asked the government whether it was sure about the security of the data while considering the Public Interest Litigation, seeking cancellation of the contract with Sprinklr .
The court had also asked why it had approached a third party, when it had its own IT department. To this, the government had said it was an emergency decision taken under emergency circumstances.
The court had asked the government to send a mail to Sprinklr to get their explanation.
