THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There appears to be two voices in the State BJP regarding the manner it should handle Sprinklr controversy that has plagued the State government.
When State BJP president Surendran has initiated procedures for Vigilance inquiry, BJP State general secretary M T Ramesh is for CBI inquiry.
M T Ramesh’s Facebook post hints at this:
What is more appropriate than CBI inquiry in Sprinklr deal? In our country, only the CBI and NIA have the capacity to bring out the foul play in international contracts.
That is why I seek a CBI inquiry. The journey taken by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to America for medical needs has, in effect, gifted Kerala with an incurable disease. What is needed is a treatment for this….let CBI itself should find medicine for this. Any other treatment method will only end up in the situation –‘Operation successful; patient died..’
Meanwhile, Surendran loyalists’ argument is that Vigilance inquiry is ideal as Sprinklr deal involves corruption.
