THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Seven new COVID-19 positive cases were confirmed in the state on Saturday. Of the new cases, three each are in Kottayam and Kollam. One positive case was confirmed in Kannur. A health worker has tested positive for the virus in Kollam.

Seven persons recovered from the disease on Saturday. There are 21,475 persons under observation in the state.

On Saturday alone, 135 persons were admitted to hospitals.

Chief Minister told the media that the centre is satisfied with Kerala's work. During video conference between the union cabinet secretary and state chief secretaries, the preparations for returning expats were briefed.

The union cabinet secretary said other states can follow this model.

The CM further added that shops at places other than the hotspots can open after cleaning and disinfecting. The government will issue necessary guidelines, he said.
