Actor Manikandan Achari tied the knot with Anjali, a native of Maradu. She is a B.Com graduate. The marriage ceremony was held in a simple function in the wake of lockdown restrictions. Only a few people attended the wedding solemnised at a temple in Tripunithura.

The actor had earlier mentioned that the money kept for the wedding will be donated to the chief minister’s relief fund. MLA M Swaraj will receive the money on behalf of the government. Manikandan became familiar to the audience with his role Balan in the film Kammattippadam. Meantime, the actor said that he knew Anjali earlier and knew their family well. Not only that the actor also shared an interesting proposal story with his fans.

‘The height was okay…then why don’t we propose’ was the actor’s question. The reply obtained was ‘go ahead’. Though the family disagreed at the beginning, they later agreed. They disagreed due to age difference. ‘She was nine years younger to me. Apart from that, I was from the film field,’ the actor said.

Achari got engaged to her six months back.
