NEW DELHI: Latest report claims that Tablighi Jamaat chief Maulana Saad Kandhavli has tested negative for coronavirus. He had undergone a test as per an order from the Delhi Police Crime Branch.
Having tested negative for the coronavirus, Maulana Saad will have to appear before the crime branch on Monday. It is learnt that Maulana Saad's test reports will be handed over to the crime branch on Monday. Earlier, Maulana Saad had revealed that he had undergone Covid-19 test and was waiting for the result.
It must be noted that the crime branch had filed an FIR against Maulana Saad and six others for holding a congregation of Tablighi Jamaat members and thereby violating the orders against large gatherings at the time of coronavirus outbreak. The religious gathering was organised at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi in the second week of March.
