THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As per weather forecast, the state will receive heavy rainfall with thunderstorms from May 1 to May 3. A deep depression is being formed over the Bay of Bengal near Andaman. The pressure is likely to form into a cyclone and move towards Myanmar.
Despite this, Kerala's south coasts, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh will receive heavy rainfall and wind with speeds up to 50 km/hr. The state disaster management authority has cautioned the public about fevers and hazards caused by lighting.
