NEW YORK: The number of people killed by COVID-19 worldwide crossed 200,000. More than 30 lakh people have been confirmed of the virus. Almost nine lakh were cured of the disease. More deaths have been reported in America. Nearly 56,144 people have been killed in US alone. More than 10 lakh patients are there. In US alone, 1347 people died of COVID yesterday.
Death toll in Italy crossed 26,000 and 23,521 in Spain. More than 2 lakh have been confirmed of the virus in the country. In Britain, death toll rose to 21,092. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson free from COVID resumed office. He apologized to the people for being away from office.
Meantime, in India, infected cases crossed to 29,000. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 934. 62 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours. More than 1400 fresh cases have been reported. Lockdown ends in the country on May 3. Many states have sought an extension on the lockdown following the increase in COVID cases.
