THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chief minister during his evening press conference on Tuesday said secretary-level committee has been formed for providing facilities to expats returning from abroad. Certain protocols will be followed in receiving them, scanning them for disease and sending them home after observation or quarantine, if need be.
In each airport, a committee will be formed under the respective collectors. Accommodation will be provide near airports for people and here they will be for kept under observation. The government will bear the expense for transporting their luggage to their homes.
Those people quarantined will be closely monitored and DIGs will be in charge of this.
On the other hand, those with no symptoms will be kept under observation in their homes. The government will make arrangements for those who have no facility at homes to remain under quarantine.
Quarantine will be intensified. There will also be thorough checking of people coming to Kerala from other states. The charge of
coordination with other states over the inter-state movement of people will be for Biswanath Sinha IAS.
