THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala High Court had stayed the state government's decision to deduct six-day salary of all its employees in the next five months for two months. Following this, the state government has begun looking for means to overcome the stay order.
According to reports, the state government is considering to issue an ordinance regarding the deduction of the salary of its employees. The legal department has been directed to look into the legal validity of the ordinance. Further measures regarding this will be decided in the cabinet meeting that will be held on Wednesday. It is also learnt that the government might go for an appeal against the High court order.
Earlier, the court had stayed the government's move by stating that the decision to deduct salary without the permission of the employees does not exist legally.
