MUMBAI: Maharashtra's first Covid-19 patient to undergo plasma therapy has succumbed to death, reports said. The deceased has been identified as a 53-year-old male patient from Mumbai. He had undergone plasma therapy at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.

"A 53-year-old male patient, the first to undergo plasma therapy in Maharashtra passed away on 29th April," Dr Ravishankar, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lilavati Hospital. Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 patients in the state has crossed 10,000.
