NEW DELHI: A special non-stop train carrying migrant workers from Kerala will leave Aluva railway station at 6 pm on Friday. The train will carry around 1200 migrant labourers to Bhubaneswar in Odisha.

It is learnt that only 54 people will be seated in each compartment in accordance with social distancing guidelines. Those labourers who will travel today will be listed by the district administrators. Authorities are planning to complete the registration of over one and a half lakh migrant workers in Ernakulam district by Saturday. This is the second train that will carry stranded migrant workers in the country.

A first train carrying migrant workers from Telangana had left for Hatia in Jharkhand at 5 am on Friday. The procedure to ferry back the migrant workers began once the central government permitted stranded migrant workers and students to return back to their respective states. This
