WAYANAD: Latest reports claim that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken three persons into custody in connection with the Pantheeramkavu UAPA case. The arrested have been identified as Wayanad natives Eldho, Vijith and Kozhikode native Abhilash. The investigation team had submitted the charge sheet at the NIA court in Kochi the other day.
While Alan Shuhaib has been named as the first accused in the case, Thaha Fasal and CP Usman have been named as second and third accused respectively. All the three were members of the banned organisation CPI Maoist. The charge sheet stated that the third accused Usman is absconding.
Both Alan and Thaha were arrested in November last year. Several pamphlets and books related to the Maoist concepts were seized from the two.
