THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A second train carrying 1125 migrant workers departed to Ranchi from Thiruvananthapuram.
In the morning, the workers were transported in buses to screening centers. On checking the health status and identity proofs, they were taken to the Thampanoor Railway Station. Another screening was done at the railway station also. All necessary materials including masks, sanitizers, and food were prepared here.
Only 60 persons were allowed inside each coach, by following the social distancing guideline. There are 12 RPF officers for special protection. Migrant workers will leave for their places in four trains from Ernakulam, Aluva, Tirur, and Kozhikode.
