NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the virtual summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) that will be held today to enhance the coordination of member countries in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The digital summit is being organised on the initiative of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev in his capability as the present chair of the motion.
This will be the first time that the Indian Prime Minister would be attending the summit ever since he took oath in 2014.
It is learnt that Pakistan President Arif Alvi will also participate in the virtual summit.
The NAM represents the biggest grouping of countries outside the United Nations, comprising 120 developing countries from Asia, Africa and Latin America.
