THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The return of expatriates will be on a priority basis, said Health Minister K K Shailaja. Priority will be given to those who have lost their jobs, those whose visa has expired, pregnant women and those who need treatment. No quota has been mentioned for states related on it.

The health minister lauded the work of the media on COVID related activities. The media are covering it nicely and through them the people are understanding everything, she said. Finance Minister will hold talks with the Prime Minister today regarding the return of expatriates. The second phase of the economic package is also in the agenda. The return of Indians stranded abroad due to lockdown will start in a week, the minister said.

The minister said yielded result on COVID-19 prevention activities but cannot say it is all over. The minister told reporters that she is very happy on the result. She was talking to the media after attending the call at a time when one lakh call was completed at the Disha Call Centre.
