THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister E P Jayarajan said they will request centre to allow expatriates to go under quarantine in their homes itself. The centre had released a general guidance. The situation in each state is different, he said. Isolation in homes is fruitful. There is nothing wrong in placing those who have no symptoms in home quarantine. The situation of Kerala will be informed to the centre, he said.

People from various countries will be brought to the state after examination. They will be examined on reaching the state. They will be placed under isolation later. India has accepted centre’s directions. Kerala is different from other states. We are far ahead in personal hygiene, health etc. Kerala is a densely populated area. The centre is observing all affairs of the respective states. The situation of each day will be examined and the state of affairs will be assessed and required arrangements will be made, he said.
