THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Pregnant women returning to the state have been excluded from quarantine, CM Vijayan said. They can quarantine at home, he added.

Children and pregnant women should stay at home. In the case of sick people, measures will be taken after diagnosis. The final decision regarding quarantine will be taken only after discussing it with medical experts.

Meanwhile, Keralites stranded abroad will start returning to the state from tomorrow on flights and ships. As per official information, two flights will fly to Kerala on Thursday carrying expats-Abudhabi to Kochi and Saudi Arabia to Kozhikode, the CM said.

The state had asked the centre to do mandatory COVID-19 screening for the returnees.

The state will take will be careful in managing the returning Malayalis. Returnees should keep vigil throughout their journey, at airports and their places of stay. Facilities for the returnees are ready, CM Vijayan added.
