antibody-test

NEW DELHI: A press release issued by Indian embassies in the Gulf on Wednesday night says, before allowing expats to board flight, they will be subjected to anti-body test at airports.

Only after ascertaining that they don’t’ have disease, will they be allowed to travel.

In the guidelines issued by the Central government, there is no reference that Covid test will be conducted on Indians before they board the flight. It only said that when they register with embassies, the details of their RTPC test will be collected to ensure that they are not Covid patients.

Though, in the affidavit submitted by the travelers, there is a question whether they have Covid disease, guidelines don’t say that those with Covid disease won’t be allowed to board the flight but it mentions about 14 day quarantine once they reach India. After quarantine, they will have to conduct test to ensure that they are not Covid diseased.

However, there is a clause in the guidelines they will be subjected to thermal test and those with no symptoms will only be allowed to travel.
