THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State police chief Loknath Behera has said that expect the police officers on duty, nobody will be allowed entry in or around the airport when expats arrive at various airports in Kerala on Thursday.

“Only policemen deployed at the airports will have the permission to stay inside or outside the airports. Police have taken all protective measures in line with Covid protocol on account of expats’ return. Police officers have been deployed at airports following safety protocols. Only one relative will be allowed to receive pregnant women/children and take them to houses for observation,” Behera clarified.

In the first schedule, expats from Abu Dabhi and Dubai will be flown in to Nedumbassery and Karipur airports by Thursday night. DIG Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar and two SPs will look after security arrangements at Nedumbassery airport.

DIG S Surendran and two SPs will be in charge of the security at Karipur airport.
