KOCHI: The return of non-resident Keralites will continue Friday also. Two flights will reach the state today. One from Saudi Arabia to Kozhikode and the other from Bahrain to Kochi. The first flight from Riyadh Airport will leave for Kozhikode at 3.15 pm. Tickets were issued to the selected 162 Indians from the 60,000 registered in the Indian Embassy and consulate in Saudi.
The fare from Riyadh is Rs 18,000. The passengers have been directed to reach the airport at 9 am local time. Entry to the flight will be after thermal scanning at the airport. The embassy has informed that there will be no distribution of food in the flight.
The flight from Bahrain International Airport to Nedumbassery will depart at 7 pm (Indian time). 177 out of the 12,000 Indians registered in Bahrain have been given tickets. The fare from Bahrain to Kochi is Rs 16,800. Meantime, the embassies have not accepted centre’s demand to make the fare free for eligible persons.
