THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two more COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed in Kerala, CM Vijayan told the media here. The confirmed persons are expats who returned recently from Dubai and Abudhabi. One has been admitted in Kozhikode and the other in Kochi. With this, the total number of confirmed cases so far in the state stands at 505.

The state also reported one recovery in Idukki. 17 persons are currently undergoing treatment at various hospitals. 23930 persons are under observation including 334 in hospitals.

The returnees from other states and countries should follow safety guidelines with the utmost vigil. The state is bound to bring back stranded Keralites in any part of the world. The state government made preparations for the return of expats and also conversed with the centre.

The centre decides the priority list, the number of returnees, the airport, travel facility and expense. The state government make facilities for the returning expats in the state, the CM said.
