KOZHIKODE: In the wake of transmission of COVID-19, Jolly, accused in the Koodathayi murder case, has moved the court seeking permission to go home quarantine. She has requested to grant her the benefit given for trial prisoners to go home quarantine. She filed the plea in the Kozhikode district sessions court.

The jail authorities had the other day asked the trial prisoners to file plea if they are interested in going home quarantine. Following that, Jolly via jail authorities filed the plea in the court. Meantime, the prosecution had opposed her plea. This benefit is for trial inmates who are sentenced to less than seven years in prison and Jolly accused in many murder cases cannot be permitted this, the prosecution said.
