THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday announced that five more persons have tested positive for coronavirus in Kerala. Among the five, three are from Malappuram district and one each are from Pathanamthitta and Kottayam districts. He added that four of the newly infected persons had returned from abroad while one person returned from Chennai.

At present, 32 persons are undergoing treatment for COVID-19 in the state. Almost 70 percent of the infected people in the state had recently returned from other states state, the CM added. Out of the 9 persons who had contracted the disease through contact, 6 persons are from Wayanad district. He also added that no patient has recovered from the infection on Tuesday.
