THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two flights carrying stranded Indians from Dubai and Dammam landed in Kerala on Tuesday night. While Air India's Boeing 737 carrying passengers from Dubai landed at the Kannur airport at around 7:20 pm, the other flight carrying passengers from Dammam landed in Kochi at around 8:15 pm.
It is learnt that the flight from Dubai carried 177 passengers including 20 pregnant women and five children. Out of the 177 passengers, 109 are from Kannur, 47 are from Kasargod and the rest are from Kozhikode, Wayanad and Malappuram districts. This was the first repatriation flight that arrived in Kannur.
Meanwhile, another flight carrying Indians from Doha is expected to reach Thiruvananthapuram on later tonight.
